Vision Australia provides services to more than 25,500 people clients from 35 Vision Australia centres in Victoria, New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia; and through outreach programs in the Northern Territory and Tasmania.

An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced radio producer to join our team operating from either Melbourne or Adelaide.

Responsibilities

As an executive producer and presenter for the National Talkback Program at Vision Australia you will be responsible for:

  • Working with a dispersed team of producers to determine program concept, content and structure, weekly production schedule, studio protocols, and weekly delegation of duties and responsibilities
  • Story research and development to ensure content aligned with program goals
  • Conducting interviews in a knowledgeable, empathic and confident style
  • Pre-recording and editing of story material
  • Script preparation
  • Presenting the program in studio conditions

Requirements

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Solid track record in radio production covering program preparation and production, story selection, scriptwriting, interviewing techniques
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and working harmoniously within a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships and negotiate successful outcomes
  • Ability to work without supervision and as part of a team
