Disruption to Vision Australia Radio Warragul service

23 June 2020

The Vision Australia Radio (VAR) Warragul broadcast has been temporarily suspended from Friday 22 May for approximately three months.

VAR Manager Conrad Browne said the temporary halt to broadcast was related to changes within the local commercial broadcasting network. This is impacting the ability for VAR to continue to utilise its current transmission infrastructure or move to a new site to do so. The team is working hard to make sure the Warragul transmission is back up and running as soon as possible.

“Vision Australia Radio is committed to providing a radio service to the Warragul area and we are doing everything we can to get it up and running in a timely manner,” Conrad said.

“We thank listeners for their patience and understanding while work is done to resolve the issues as soon as possible.”

Any updates and information on this matter will be distributed on air and online alongside client communications from the local and national offices.

Conrad also reminded listeners that while the Warragul service may be temporarily out of action, listeners can still access Vision Australia Radio on the TuneIn app or via the Vision Australia Radio website.

A variety of interesting podcasts can also be accessed via the Vision Australia Radio Podbean page or via the podcasts tab at varadio.org. You can also keep up to date on all the latest podcast highlights and updates on Twitter by following @varadionetwork.
