Stephen Jolley

Stephen Jolley volunteers with Vision Australia Radio. He presents the national weekly radio program Talking Tech along with David Woodbridge.

For 15 years he led Vision Australia’s Radio service, as it grew from a single Melbourne based metro station to a network of 8. In 1994, Stephen joined the then Association for the Blind following 20 years in the IT industry as a computer analyst programmer.

He played a leading role in the development of the national RPH movement from its inception in the mid 1970s.

He is passionate to see his peers with vision loss exploit the opportunities of today’s digital media environment in order to access the content they seek as conveniently as possible. To this end, he maintains a web page of links to streaming audio of interest and has developed a directory of stations that can be accessed using the newly introduced wireless capability of the Book Port Plus and PlexTalk Pocket players.

Stephen is married to Vicki and they have an adult son.
