Vision Australia Radio to broadcast live from ATSA Independent Living Expo, Adelaide - with Studio 1 front and center

09 February 2026

Vision Australia Radio is excited to announce that it will broadcast live from the the second ATSA Independent Living Expo in Adelaide, taking place on March 18 and 19, 2026, at the Adelaide Showgrounds. This marks Vision Australia Radio Adelaide’s inaugural appearance at the exhibition, and we are thrilled to help bring this important event directly to listeners across South Australia.

Across both days of the Expo, Vision Australia Radio Adelaide will go live at various times, capturing the energy, innovation and community spirit of the event. Among the on‑air team will be Studio 1 presenters Sam Rickard and Lizzie Eastham. They will not only feature in our live broadcast lineup but will also be gathering interviews, stories and lived experiences for their popular weekly half‑hour program, Studio 1: your weekly look at life through a different lens.

As they interact with those present at the Expo, Sam and Lizzie will speak with exhibitors, product innovators, allied health professionals, ambassadors, and community members. Their unique storytelling style and commitment to elevating the voices of people who are blind, have low vision or live with disability will help shine a spotlight on the real‑world impact of the products and services showcased at ATSA.

ATSA Independent Living Expos across Australia play a vital role in presenting new technology, practical supports and life‑enhancing solutions designed to improve independence for people with disability, seniors, carers and health professionals. By broadcasting live and capturing rich content for Studio 1, VAR is proud to extend access to this landmark event, ensuring that even those who can’t attend in person can still explore, learn and connect through radio.

Manager of Vision Australia Radio and Audio Services, Conrad Browne, shared his enthusiasm for the collaboration, saying:

“Vision Australia Radio is pleased to be exhibiting at the ATSA Independent Living Expo. As a print disability radio service, our objective is to make news and information accessible to people with print disability and provide them greater access to events that enhance their everyday living. So this partnership is a match made in heaven.”

Listeners are encouraged to stay tuned to Vision Australia Radio in the lead‑up to March as we share updates, interviews and behind‑the‑scenes insights, including special coverage from the Studio 1 team.
