As Melbourne prepares to come alive with the inaugural Holiday Concerts series at the Melbourne Recital Centre, Vision Australia Radio is delighted to join the festive spirit and extend heartfelt thanks to the organisers of John Foreman’s Australian Pops Orchestra Holiday Concerts for their generous support of our print disability radio network and our dedicated volunteers.

A new festive tradition

From December 20 to 31, 2025, the Melbourne Recital Centre will host a dazzling array of concerts, featuring some of Australia’s most celebrated performers. Under the direction of the renowned John Foreman AM, the Australian Pops Orchestra will present four spectacular shows, each designed to bring joy, music, and community togetherness to audiences of all ages. This new festival promises to become a cherished tradition, filled with timeless Christmas favourites, Broadway classics and uplifting performances.

Star-studded performances

The concert series includes:

  • The Great Christmas Singalong with powerhouse diva Silvie Paladino, inviting everyone to join in the festive cheer.
  • They Sang at Carnegie Hall, where Bernadette Robinson pays homage to legendary female vocalists.
  • The Idols of Musical Theatre, starring Rob Mills, Casey Donovan and Paulini, celebrating the best of Broadway.
  • New Year’s Eve and The Day Before Gala Concerts, featuring icons Marina Prior, Lucy Durack and Simon Gleeson, alongside the Dana Jolly Dancers, to ring in 2026 with style.

A community united by music

John Foreman’s vision for these concerts is to bring people together, celebrating the joy of the holidays and the thrill of live performance. As he notes, “Music has always been about bringing people together and celebrating with friends, and that’s especially true at this time of year.”

Our thanks

Vision Australia Radio is proud to be part of this vibrant community celebration. We extend our deepest gratitude to the Australian Pops Orchestra, John Foreman and all event organisers for their support of our print disability radio network. Your partnership helps us continue our mission to inform, entertain and connect Australians with print disabilities, and empowers our many volunteers who make this work possible.
