Program Feature: ‘Seeing Without Eyes’ broadcasts nationwide across Australia

Seeing Without Eyes is a series covering issues relevant to people with blindness or low vision and their families. Hosted by Kenneth Phua, who brings his lived experience as a blind person to the program, Seeing Without Eyes features personalities and people whose knowledge and experiences bring hope, recognising their aspirations, challenges, abilities, opportunities and accomplishments. The show is broadcast on Vision Australia Radio Perth 990AM and digitally via VA Radio on Fridays at 10am. It is also available as a podcast via radio.visionaustralia.org/podcasts. From this month, the program will also be heard right across our network of radio stations in Adelaide, Melbourne and locations across regional Victoria. 

Kenneth began his career in the travel and tourism industry in the 80s within product development and incentive travel sales roles. Since then, he’s worked in senior management positions with international brands, served in senior positions at the Association of Corporate Travel Executives, Fairfax Business Media, and more, and has gone on to work for another prominent Perth blindness organisation. Over the past 15 years Kenneth has addressed conferences for professional bodies and numerous commercial organisations. He has served as board member and chair, and championed strategic campaigns with many of these associations. 

Kenneth’s expertise expands to lecturing and facilitating executive workshops in marketing communications including strategic events management, customer relations and advertising. His specialties include international association management, business development and market positioning, executive training, innovation leadership, media relations, business content research and publishing, public speaking, conference program development and business alliances. Kenneth brings this wealth of experience and variety of contacts to Seeing Without Eyes each and every week!
