Vision Australia Radio is once again proud to be a media partner for the KYD-X ‘Kids and Youth Disability eXpo’ in 2020. The expo is back, but not as you know it. This year's event will be held entirely online via the KYD-X website. The expo gives service providers the ultimate platform to showcase their unique services to a captive audience of people who are all seeking products and services for a loved one or group of young people living with a disability, right from the comfort of their couch.
For a third year running, Vision Australia Radio is a media partner to the event, recognising the opportunity individuals, families and carers have on the virtual platform to make informed choices about the equipment, therapies and treatments they can access through their National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) funding or by their personal means.
“36% of our 701,000 monthly radio listeners self-identify as living with a disability, its important for us to be involved in such events to ensure our audience and our community are best informed when it comes to the support available to them*”. Vision Australia Radio national audio business development consultant Jason Gipps.
“Though the NDIS has been around for a while now, it can still be a challenge to understand how funding works and the choice that individuals have. Choosing the right provider, product or service can make the world of difference.
"It's good to know this year KYD-X will be providing so much education around choice with so many service providers highlighting their services via informative and unique webinars to help the community make informed decisions,” Jason said.
Vision Australia Radio will bring listeners more information about the event over the next week. Be sure to subscribe to our podcast feeds on iTunes, Spotify, Podbean or your favourite podcast platform to hear our KYD-X podcast highlights and tune in to your local VAR service.
