Yum Catering for Vision Australia Radio volunteers.

22 January 2020

Vision Australia Radio was recently thankful to have the support of catering company Yum Catering who provided our Melbourne based volunteers with a wonderful arrangement of canapés for our end of year wrap party to see out a challenging yet rewarding 2019.

The year brought with it many changes to the way we deliver our reading programs and content across the country and following a positive review of the services that our audio and radio team have provided over decades, a commitment to continuing our radio service was made and we together celebrated the year to come.

Volunteers and staff of Vision Australia’s radio and audio team came together across various locations nationwide including Albury, Bendigo, Mildura, Shepparton, Geelong, Warrigal, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.

As for Yum Caterings offerings in our Kooyong location, attendees were able to enjoy delicious fetta and beetroot tartlets, mini slider burgers, salmon crackers, cranberry chicken sticks, rice paper rolls and fruit mince tarts. Every dietary requirement was catered for with those with a gluten intolerance, vegan or vegetarian need being well supported.

“I don’t think I have ever had such positive feedback on catering at an event” tells Vision Australia Business Development Consultant Jason Gipps, “the food was delicious and received a lot of praise. Paul at Yum Catering went out of his way to support the work we do for people who are blind, have low vision or a print disability and immediately wanted to reward our volunteers who make it all happen.”

Vision Australia Radio relies on the support of our community, listeners and our sponsors. Our not for profit community radio station runs at a cost of around 2 million dollars a year and support in many shapes and forms helps to ensure a more sustainable future.
