From July 1, 2026, the Vision Australia Radio AM broadcasts in Melbourne (1179 AM), Adelaide (1197 AM) and Perth (990 AM) will cease.
How will people in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth listen to Vision Australia Radio after July 1?
There are multiple ways people in these locations can continue listening to Vision Australia Radio, including DAB+, streaming through the Vision Australia Radio website or Community Radio Plus app. Home assistant devices such as Amazon Alexa can also play Vision Australia Radio and a large range of our content is available as podcasts.
Are any other Vision Australia Radio locations impacted?
No, this only affects Vision Australia Radio broadcasts in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.

Vision Australia has made this decision as we believe it’s in the best interests of our wider Vision Australia Radio network. To ensure the continued viability of the network we need to make changes to our operating model and by transitioning away from AM, we can reduce operating costs while not impacting our programming.
