From July 1, Vision Australia Radio AM broadcasts in Melbourne (1179 AM), Adelaide (1197 AM) and Perth (990 AM) will cease as these broadcasts transition to DAB+ (digital radio).
You’ll still be able to listen to the Vision Australia Radio programming you know and love, just in a different way.

What is DAB+?
DAB stands for Digital Audio Broadcasting (you may know it as digital radio). DAB+ is the standard for digital broadcasting in Australia.
How can I keep listening to Vision Australia Radio?
There’s a number of ways people in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth can keep listening to Vision Australia Radio.
If you have a digital radio, you can tune in using that. Vision Australia Radio can also be streamed on your computer or smart device via the Vision Australia Radio website.
You can also use the Community Radio Plus app on your smart device to listen to Vision Australia Radio, and Vision Australia Radio podcasts are also available.
The Vision Store also sells devices designed for people who are blind or have low vision that can stream Vision Australia Radio, including:

Vision Australia Library members with a DaisyBox Player can also access Vision Australia Radio broadcasts direct from their device.
Does Vision Australia sell digital radios?
We don’t currently sell digital radio units, however they are widely available from electronic retailers.
