Vision Australia Radio builds new connections at The Outlook 2026

29 July 2026

Vision Australia Radio was recently represented at The Outlook 2026 in Melbourne, with National Audio Business Development Consultant Jason Gipps attending on behalf of the network.

Held at The Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne, The Outlook brought together leaders, practitioners and innovators from user experience, research, product design, digital innovation, accessibility and related fields.

The conference explored a broad range of ideas shaping the future of products, services and customer experiences. Sessions covered topics including emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, research, design, inclusion and the ways organisations can better understand the people they serve.

For Vision Australia Radio, the event provided an opportunity to learn from industry leaders, build new relationships and share the important role accessible media plays in informing, connecting and empowering people who are blind, have low vision or live with print disability.

Several discussions throughout the day were particularly relevant to Vision Australia Radio’s work, including conversations about inclusive design, lived experience and the importance of considering a wider range of people when developing products, services and technology.

The conference also reinforced the value of storytelling and direct engagement with people whose experiences are often overlooked. This aligns closely with Vision Australia Radio’s commitment to producing content that amplifies the voices of people who are blind, have low vision or live with print disability.

Through broadcasts, podcasts, interviews and community partnerships, Vision Australia Radio creates conversations that matter, shares practical information and helps broader audiences better understand disability, accessibility and inclusion.

A key benefit of attending The Outlook was the opportunity to build relationships with organisations working across research, design, technology and inclusion.

Jason met with representatives from Askable, UserTesting, Optimal, Intopia, Portable and Knowable Me to discuss potential opportunities for future interviews, podcasts and educational content.

These conversations explored how Vision Australia Radio could help bring important stories and ideas to a wider audience, including content about accessibility, lived experience, emerging technology, research and inclusive practice.

As Vision Australia Radio continues to expand its reach and strengthen community partnerships, events such as The Outlook provide a valuable opportunity to connect with organisations doing interesting and influential work.

Whether through sponsorship, interviews, shared storytelling or broader content partnerships, these new relationships have the potential to create meaningful and engaging content for Vision Australia Radio listeners.

Vision Australia Radio has a strong track record of partnering with organisations across the arts, culture, accessibility, technology and community sectors to deliver content that informs, educates and advocates.

Attending The Outlook 2026 reflects our ongoing commitment to ensuring the voices and experiences of people with disability remain part of important conversations about the future of technology, design, research and innovation.
