Vision Australia Radio (VAR) is thrilled to continue its partnership with the Blind Australian of the Year Awards, recognising and celebrating the achievements of blind and vision impaired Australians across the country.
The awards celebrate outstanding contributions across three categories, with nominations closing soon: Friday, 19 September at 11:59pm. Don’t miss your chance to nominate someone deserving who has made a difference in their community or inspired others through their achievements. The awards culminate in a spectacular gala event on Saturday 11 October, bringing together nominees, their supporters, and community leaders. Tickets for the gala are available for purchasing at the Blind Australian of the Year website.

VAR will have a presence at the adjacent expo, alongside the local Vision Australia services team, engaging with attendees and showcasing the important work of our network. On the night of the gala, VAR will cover proceedings, recording audio that will later be broadcast across the Vision Australia Radio network, allowing listeners nationwide to celebrate these incredible stories.
