In celebration of the International Day of People with Disability, SBS and Vision Australia Radio will present a special audio feature on this year’s 'Focus on Ability' Film Festival on Tuesday, 3 December 2024.
Marking its 16th year, the 'Focus on Ability™ Short Film Festival' invites filmmakers worldwide to showcase the abilities of people with disabilities through the powerful medium of film. The festival challenges creators to produce short films or documentaries under five minutes, focusing on disability themes or featuring individuals with disabilities as main actors.
This year’s highlights will be broadcast in a one-hour special:
- SBS: Tune in at 4:00 PM local time.
- Vision Australia Radio: Catch it from 6:00 PM local time.
Both presentations will include audio description, provided by SBS’s Audio Description Department, ensuring the content is accessible to blind and low-vision audiences. This inspiring and thought-provoking festival demonstrates the limitless potential of storytelling and human ability.
