Everyone deserves to be heard. Support Vision Australia Radio’s 50K EOFY appeal.

21 May 2024

Vision Australia Radio, Australia’s leading print disability radio network, is calling for support as it launches its End of Financial Year (EOFY) appeal to raise $50,000 by June 30th.

With operating costs over $2 million annually, Vision Australia Radio relies on the generosity of donors to continue providing essential services to the print disability community across the nation. With the support of over 500 dedicated volunteers, Vision Australia Radio broadcasts informative and engaging content tailored to the needs of those who are blind, have low vision, or print disability.

"We believe that everyone deserves to be heard, regardless of their circumstances. Vision Australia Radio provides a platform for the blind, low vision and print disability community to share lived experiences and unique perspectives, which often isn’t available on mainstream media platforms.

Our radio network also provides access to vital news and information via our reading programs”. said Conrad Browne, Manager Radio and Audio Services at Vision Australia.

Donations of $2 or more are tax-deductible and can be made securely online at www.varadio.org. Every contribution goes directly towards sustaining and expanding the reach of Vision Australia Radio’s services.

"In the last 12 months, we have witnessed significant growth in our national listener audience and online streams. This success is a testament to the unwavering support from our audience, sponsors, and donors," added Conrad.

By supporting Vision Australia Radio, donors are helping to ensure that individuals with print disabilities have equal access to information, entertainment, and community engagement. Together, we can empower every voice to be heard.
