Vision Australia Radio is proud to continue its partnership with Totally Lit – Adventures in the Port City, returning to Fremantle/Walyalup from 2 to 16 October 2026. This year’s festival features nearly 60 events celebrating literature, storytelling, creativity and community across one of Australia's most vibrant cultural destinations.

A festival where stories come alive
Totally Lit takes storytelling beyond the page, transforming venues across Fremantle into spaces for conversation, imagination and discovery. The 2026 program includes author talks, workshops, family events, poetry, live storytelling, history, First Nations storytelling experiences and immersive experiences designed to engage audiences of all ages.
This year's festival opens with Stories in Song, featuring acclaimed Noongar artist Gina Williams-Ghouse and the Kaya Choir, bringing together music, language and storytelling in a celebration of culture and community.
Visitors can also experience unique events including Life in the Great Barrier Reef, a 360-degree virtual reality storytelling experience, literary projections on Fremantle's iconic Ports Administration building, family-friendly adventures, workshops and conversations with some of Australia's most engaging writers.
