Vision Australia Radio Shepparton is proud to share that its dedicated team of volunteer producers and presenters were recently recognised in the 2025 Greater Shepparton Volunteer Recognition Awards, highlighting their vital contribution to making local news and information accessible to people who are blind or have low vision.
The local awards, held annually, celebrate the tireless efforts of individuals and groups across the region who give their time and energy to improve their community. This year’s recognition of the Vision Australia Radio Shepparton team shines a spotlight on their ongoing work in broadcasting inclusive, accessible content that truly matters.
Vision Australia Radio’s Regional Program Coordinator, Patz Black, praised the volunteers' dedication, stating:
“The award nomination recognised the commitment of our local Shepparton volunteers in providing an essential service to people who live with print disability. They give their time daily and selflessly for the betterment of the local blind and low vision community.”
Each day, these volunteers bring local voices, stories and information to life on-air, helping ensure that no one is left out of conversations that shape the Greater Shepparton region.
