Hear This is a weekly presentation from the Vision Australia Library service, bringing you up to date with what’s on offer.

The program is presented by Frances Keyland, who has been with the Vision Australia Library for 15 years and works within the Reader Services team as their Media Officer.

Frances Keyland headshot, she is holding braille books and looking at camera A self confessed ‘dabbler’, Frances has a background in historical research, theatre and photography. She has worked at different times as a Snooker Room attendant, traffic counter and sandwich hand, before stumbling into the Library one day and finding her feet.

For the past 3 years she has produced and presented  Hear This.

“It started out as a way to use all the wonderful feedback we get from our Library clients about the books they receive, and as a way to spread the word about our Library to the wider community,” says Frances, a voracious reader herself.

“If you like to hear about books and authors in general, from Pulitzer winners to potboilers, from true crime to true love, from Australian fiction to fiction from around the world, we are sure we will have something to interest you”.

Join Frances for Hear This on Friday at 3pm.
